After two mild seasons in Maryland and Pennsylvania, cold winter weather returned to the mid-eastern region with vengeance! Many homeowners were caught off guard, and were forced into a frantic search for a heating oil company that could deliver to them in time. As the fierce cold persisted, the harder and costlier it became to receive an oil delivery.

Tevis customers, on the other hand, could relax.

It was the all hands-on deck we’ve trained for. At the onset of the peak extreme cold temperatures and until every customer’s needs were met, our staff and teams worked around the clock, 7 days a week!

To free up our drivers, ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) was introduced to make night calls for customers in need. When MDOT lifted restrictions on drive time limits, our managers rode with drivers to run the hose so that they could save their energy to drive the longer hours, safely. And CEO, Jack Tevis assisted in dispatch.

Through it all we continued to answer calls 24/7. Customer Service welcomed senior management to their team, and with them fielded a record-breaking number of inquiry phone calls. One of the days they logged over 1,100 calls!

January’s frigid temperatures presented challenges for energy and homeowners, alike; and we were no exception; but thanks to an amazing team, whose concern for customers is unequaled, we got through it together!
